The clinic dates are January monday 29th and possibly also tuseday 30th. The price will remain the same as last year, $260 (cash) per session (including long lining sessions) with Bo, auditing for the day is $25. We have a few openings each day. Please let me know if you would like a spot (or 2), if you haven't already and also if you have a time frame preference or need. We may have overnight stalls available, please let me know if you will need one, so that I can see if we have one available.

Germany Trip

July 2017

The Half Halt stables Germany tour lead by Susanne Benne was a success. A fantastic tour through Germany. Many high lights with breathtaking views and memories. A few of the places we are visiting are My home town Mayen and Monreal along with our 300 year old family farm, Köln and the Dom. Now we are at the world famous Chio Aachen equestrian Show! Even after several unforgettable days we have more to see!
Join us next year as we will make this awesome tour a yearly tradition!

Hanna Benne had a wonderful clinic with Lendon Gray at Valhalla Farms . It was a great learning experience . Thank you to her sister Jana Reich and Linda Scharff for lending us Peanut!! He was absolutely magnificent!! Big thanks to you Lendon Gray, Jean Brinkman and her daughter Erin Brinkman for organizing this great dressage clinic for Kids .

From Sweden, and considered one of the world's foremost experts in the art of long lining, a leading international rider, trainer and FEI "C" Judge, is the multi-talented Bo Jena. Bo is a judge educator in his native country and a member of the International Dressage Trainer's Club.

He began at Flyinge, the famous Swedish national stud, in 1973, where he learned from Maj. Anders Lindgren and Walter Christensen. Jenå is still deeply involved at Flyinge, and he continues to give many clinics in Scandinavia and throughout the United States.

Sessions are $200, auditors are welcome - $20/day

Dressage and Jumping Clinic with

Dr. Christian Schacht

Dr. Christian Schacht is a well-known equine educator, rider, judge, clinician, breeder, trainer, and author currently residing in Germany.

Christian’s bio includes:

Sport Horse Conformation: A Simple System for Evaluating Athletic Potential in Dressage, Jumping and Eventing Prospects

Dr. Schacht has trained riders to upper level dressage, showjumping and eventing, and is a popular clinician throughout Europe and the USA. His judging background includes the qualification tests for the German Bundeschampionat for both dressage and eventing, as well as CSI (show jumping) competitions in Germany. As Breeding Director of ISR/Oldenburg North America, he officiates at nearly 60 mare and foal inspections in the USA and Canada each year.

Fees:

45 Minute Riding Clinic: $160 For One Ride and Two rides are $150.00 each. Mr. Schacht prefers 2 rides so that the rider and horse have the best chance to achieve their goals.

Horse Evaluation- Breeding, Conformation, Dressage and Jumping suitability (~30 minutes.): $80

Auditors: $20/day

Payment is due By December 1 and is non-refundable; however substitution is allowed.

Bo Jena Clinic at Half Halt Stables

Thank you to Bo Jena who spent two days at Half Halt and all of our riders who participated in the clinic. Bo is an International judge, director and trainer at the National Swedish Stud, the Flyinge, as well as the coach of Sweden's National Dressage Team.

2010 Adequan/USDF National Dressage Symposium in Jacksonville, FL

Congratulations to Susanne who was selected to be a demo rider over the weekend at the annual USDF Symposium with Lilo Fore "I" and Gary Rockwell "O". Along with the symposium Susanne also received her USDF Gold Medal at the annual awards banquet.
