Ocala WEC January 21-23
Very successful show for Team HHS this weekend at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala.
Susanne Benne riding her own and Mary Gleasons Liebling, in Intermediate 1 winning with a 71% and their Intermediate 1 Freestyle debut winning with a 73.8% WOW What a performance
Jana Reich riding Tina Archers Ira, in the Intermediate 1 Freestyle winning the first day with a 69.9% unfortunately the second day the ring was to scary for ira .
Hanna Benne riding Ruso owned by Terri Rines in there first PSG coming in 5th and 2nd with a 65% and 68% way to go! She also showed Menno owned by Toni Pastermack in their first 3rd level! Still some little mistakes in the flying changes but the future looks bright for this team.
WEC Ocala April 15-17
Big Show weekend for the Half Halt Stables crew at WEC in Ocala!
Susanne rode her and Mary Gleason's 10 year old Liebling in the small tour CDI! Lots of improvements for the pair! Ending on Sunday on a personal best in the I1 Freestyle with a 67% and a 6th place! Liebling is taking this new huge CDI step like a pro we can't wait to continue to watch this journey!
Jana Reich rode Tina Archers 10 year old Ira in the I1 and I1 Freestyle. This pair has turned it around and figured out how to prep for their tests. No spooking, tension and looking for Ira this weekend! Scoring 67% and 69% way to go!
Hanna Benne rode Terri Rhines Ruso in the PSG class this weekend scoring a 67% way to go, this duo has a bright future ahead!
Susanne's student Ineka showed Zoro in their first outing at 4th level test 3, they had beautiful moments unfortunately also some tension but overall a great picture!
Jana's students Amy and Layla had a great first outing at 1st level test 3 scoring a 60% and 64%! Way to go.
Ashlyn and Peanut had a successful show as well after a long break due to injurie, they showed PSG for a 60% and 63%! Way to go girls!
Chase De Marco rode his and Rachel Darnell's, El Capone in the PSG and I1 winning the I1 class with a 71%.
He rode Diva owned by the Stern Family in the Psg, i1 and I1 Freestyle ending the weekend in second place in the Freestyle with a 69%. He also rode Tina Archer's 5 year old mare Noe in 1st level test 3, for a 2nd and 1st place with 71% and 74%.
He also had a group of his clients with him with lots of success! Sandy Gillespie rode her own Gru getting qualifying scores in 1st and 2nd level. Katie and Fergie rode their first Freestyle and ended on a 70% getting a qualifying score for Regionals and Annie and Lyft won their class with a 71%.

WEC Ocala May 30
Successful show for Team Half Half at WEC last weekend.
Hanna Benne showed Toni Pastermack's super cute Friesian Menno in 3rd level scoring 63% and 64% with some super highlights!
Ineka Pastermack showed Zoro owned by Susanne Benne in 4th level test 3 winning both days with a 66% way to go!!
Jana Reich showed Barney owned by Ute Long in his 3rd level debute, scoring a 65% and 66%. He was such a golden pony!
Jana also showed her and Linda Scharffs Zach, in 1st level 3, with a 67% and 68% for a 3rd and 1st place.
Ashlyn Merritt rode her own Peanut in the PSG for 2 wins! With a 63% and 66%. This couple is qualified for Reginals now!
Chase DeMarco showed his and Rachel Darnell's own Capi in their first Inter A, creeping up to the Grand Prix, a big step! With 64% and 67%!
Chases students Abby showed for the fist time second level, Sandy Gillespie showed her own Gru in 1st and 2nd and qualified in both levels for Reginals! And Annie showed her own Lyft for a 72%.

Region 3 Championships is a wrap!

Head Trainer Susanne Benne rode her and Mary Gleasons big boy Liebling in the Intermediate 1 Championships class and the I1 Freestyle class. Coming in 7th and 8th! Congratulations.
Jana Reich riding Ira owned by Tina Archer also riding in the I1 and I1 Freestyle class coming in 10th place. Working on consistency and relaxation on this boy! With big improvements!
Hanna Benne rode Ruso owned by Terri Rhines in the PSG championship class and his I1 debut. Bringing home a second place in the I1! Congratulations Hanna also rode her and Tina Archers 7 year old Mare Laquinzi aka Lila in her US debut at 3rd level! This pair has a bright future!
Chase DeMarco cleaning up at this Regionals winning the I1 Freestyle class with a 71% with Diva owned by Margaret Stern and coming in 5th in the I1 class. He came in 3rd with Titan in the 2nd level championship class also owned by Margaret Stern. He also rode Noelani aka Noe owned by Tina Archer in her 1st level championship class coming in 5th with a 70%.
Chases student Sandy rode her own Gru in the First and second level classes and did well. As well as chases student Annie in Training level.

2022 Show Season
Ocala WEC December 11/12
Half Halt Stables had a great show at WEC this passed weekend! Lots of first times, with lots of success! Susanne Benne rode her own 8 year old Liebling, in his First PSG, scoring an unbelievable 72% and 65%!! What a horse! His future looks exciting! Thanks to Michael Poulen for coaching. Jana Reich rode Alicia's and her new 4 year old Florida aka Fritz at his first ever show! Coming in 1st and 2nd with 72% and 69%. Another exciting future ahead! Lots of thanks to Susanne Benne for the coaching and help with the young horse, who is amazingly level headed! Jana also rode Tina Archers new horse Ira in his very first Intermediate 1. The first day they had some mistakes but the second day they won the class with a 66%. Thank you to Anne Gribbons for the coaching! And client Pam Neff rode her first Freestyle ever, in the Intermediate 1, which was a bucket list dream of hers! They got a 66% and were shining in the big stadium, it was so much fun to watch!!

2021 Regional Championships in Georgia
Very successful, eventful and busy week at Region 3 Regional Championships! Team Half Halt took 10 horses!
Head Trainer Susanne Benne rode Beetle owned by Ann Dabrowski in a very crowded PSG class with a 65 % and the next day they won their PSG with 67 %. Trainer Assistant Jana Reich with Ira owned by herself and Linda Scharff. Ira and Jana also competed in 4th level and 4th level Freestyle coming in 6th and 8th place! Hanna Benne rode her own and Lori Minteer's Riggs in the Intermediate I class, becoming Regional Champion, they are headed to National Championships in Kentucky!! Ineka Pastermack rode Zoro, Owned by Susanne Benne, in 1st level for a 6th place and 2nd level becoming Reserved Champion, also qualifying for National Championships! Ashlyn Merritt rode her own Peanut in 4th level and they both tackled their very first PSG!! Chase De Marco rode Diva, owned by Jean Stern in 3rd level coming in 5th and their 4th level Debut, both his students Abby on her own Levi and Katie on her own Ginger, rode in 1st level and seat Equitation! Katie came in 5th in first level and 6th the seat Equitation and Abby came in 5th in the seat Equitation. Alicia Lee rode her own Fedex in the PSG class and Pam Neff rode her own in the Intermediate I class with very respectable tests!

Ocala WEC August 28/29
Successful show at WEC this past weekend for Half Halt Stables.
Alicia Lee rode her own Fedex in a big PSG class coming in 3rd with 65.6% Qualifying them for Regionals! Way to go. Chase DeMarco's students, Katie McDaniel rode her mare Ginger in First Level and Dressage Seat Equitation getting a high score of 78%, and Abby Scott rode her gelding Levi in First and Training Level scoring a 67% and 70%! Both girls are also qualified for Regionals! Jana Reich rode her and Linda Scharffs 8 year old Ira in the Developing PSG for the first time scoring a 65.6%. Great Weekend!!! Now off to Regionals in Georgia in October!
Welligton May 24/25
Lovely show in wellington this past weekend. Peanut and ashlyn rode super in there junior Devision scoring a 68% and 65%. Which continues to push them up the junior ranking list, putting them in 15th place in the Nation at the moment! What an accomplishment! One more show to go! Jana and her and Linda's ira had a nice 4th level Freestyle for a 68%. And the pair tackled Ira's very first PSG! Some expensive mistakes put them at 61.6% but overall a lovely picture. The 8 year old is getting more and more confident and relaxed in the ring! Way to go girls!
Jacksonville May 9/10
Very fun show for our 3 Half Halt girls Hanna, Ashlyn and Jana.
Trainer Assistant Jana Reich, rode Hercules, owned by Mary Gleason in 4th level, becoming 4th level High Point Grand Champion with a 71%. And 2 first places.
Hanna Benne rode Riggs owned by Lori Minteer, I1 winning both days with a 66% and 68%. And Becoming junior/young and Amateur FEI Grand high point Champion!
And Jana's Student Ashlyn Merritt rode her own Peanut in the FEI Junior Devision winning both days with a 66% and 68%. Becoming junior/young and Amateur FEI Reserved Champion!

Fun show in Jacksonville this past weekend!
Susanne Benne rode her own Liebling in 4th1 to a 66% and 70% and a first place! She also rode Ann Dabrowski 's Beetle in PSG to a 70% and 76%! First place and Open Reserved high point Champion! Jana Reich rode Linda Scharff's and her own Ira at 3rd level Freestyle to a 71% and they rode 4th3 to a 66.9%. She also rode Hercules owned by Mary Gleason in 3rd level to a 66% and his 4th level Debut to a 67%. Rhiann Houchins rode her own Isabella in 2nd level to a 68%, Alicia Lee rode her own Fedex in the Developing PSG and the PSG with impressive moments. Ashlyn Merritt rode her own Peanut in their Junior Devision tests to a 65% and 63%.

Very busy and exciting show at the Ocala World Equestrian Center for team Half Halt Stables this past weekend!
Susanne Benne showed Arturo, owned by Pam Neff in a competitive PSG class to a third place. Chase De Marco showed Debutante owned by Jean Stern in 3rd level scoring 64% and 70.3% for a 3rd place. Jana Reich showed her and Linda Scharffs Ira in 4th level for a 3rd place with a 66.9%, and in 3rd level Freestyle for a win with a 71%. She also showed Hercules owned by Mary Gleason in 3rd level for 3rd and 2nd place with 63% and a 70.7%!
Jana's student Ashlyn Merritt showed her own, Fuerst Astreaus in their first CDI, in the Junior division scoring a respectable 65%, way to go kiddo!
Alicia Lee showed her own Delivery in the Developing PSG with fantastic moments! Hanna Benne showed her and Lori Minteers Riggadon RF in a very competitive I1 class to a 3rd and 2nd place with a 63% and 67%. Heidi McNamer showed her own Indus stepping it up with him to 4th level at this show. Way to go everybody!

Fantastic show for team Half Halt this weekend! Lots of firsts lots of qualifying and lots of incredible scores!
Head trainer Susanne Benne rode her Own Liebling in 4th level test 1. Winning both classes with 68% and 76%, Liebling truly was outstanding getting 8s, 9s, and two 10s! Susanne also rode Napoleon (Nico) owned by Mary Gleason in 3rd level scoring 66% and 68%, as well as Beetle in his first PSG getting a 69.7% qualifying them for Reginals! Chase De Marco rode Debutante (Diva), owned by Jean Stern, in her first rated 3rd level show, qualifying her for Reginals with a 71% and 68%!! Chase also rode Darlene owned by Heidi Cave McNamer in her 1st Level debute qualifying her as well for Reginals with a 70% and 67%. Jana Reich's student Amy Zhan Knarr rode her Own Layla at their first show together in Training level scoring a 66%!! Chase's student Buffy Thurston rode Sophie at their first rated show together at Training level with their high score of 71%!! Kathrin riding her own Ginger in Training level scored a 67% and 61%. Way to go everybody what a great show!

Susanne Benne rode Nico owned by Mary Gleason in 3rd level winning with a 70% and becoming 3rd level Reserved Champion! Jana Reich rode her and Linda Scharffs Ira at 3rd level coming in 2nd with a 66% and 1st with a 71.6% making them 3rd level Grand Champion!
Jana also rode Rio owned by Alicia Lee at PSG coming in 2nd place with a 66%. Ashlyn Merritt rode her own Peanut in the Junior Team test scoring a 68%! Heidi rode her own Indus in 2 very respectable 3rd level tests with much improvement from the last show!
Way to go girls what a successful weekend for everyone despite the weather that caused the arenas to be completely flooded!

Exciting show this weekend in Orlando for the Half Halt team.
Heidi took her own Indus to their first show together and won all 3, third level classes with mid 60s scores!!! Marissa Long rode her and Ute Longs fantastic mare Zoe in their first Intermediate 1!! They got two second places with their high score of 65%!! Towards their Gold Medal!! Rhiann took her young Mare Isabella out for the first time and rode 1st and 2nd level and got a first and second places with their high score of 64% way to go! Chase DeMarco rode Heidi's young and very inexperienced mare Darleen in training level for 2 second places with their high score of 75%!!! What a great first outing for this flashy mare! Jana Reich rode Alicia Lee's Gelding Rio in the PSG for their first show together coming in 2nd both days with their high score of 66%. And our head trainer Susanne took her own Liebling for some show exposure out just to play around!
All riders got qualifying scores towards Reginals!!

2020 Region3 Championships Ocala October 5/6
Great weekend at the Region 3 Championships in Ocala!
Susanne Benne rode her own Liebling, in a very large 3rd level open Championship class coming in 7th place with a 70%! Despite horrible rain and a costly mistake! This pair is one to look out for, in the future! Jana Reich's junior rider student Ashlyn Merritt, rode her own Peanut in the JY rider 3rd level championship class, scoring a 66% and coming in 3rd place!! She also rode her first 4th level test and scored a 66% winning the class! Way to Go what a team they have become!! Chase De Marco rode his and Rachel's Capi, in a very large and competitive PSG class scoring a 67% and 64% way to go! Lots of big plans for this pair in the future! Susannes student Joan Sussman rode her own Dulcia, in 4th level Championship class! This pair came in 9th with a 64% what an accomplishment for these two! They have come so far, a very impressive pair!
Unfortunately for our Assistant Trainer Jana Reich, her Ira was not feeling well at Reginals after the first day, so she had to scatch her rides and let him rest, on to the next show for this pair.

HUGE Congratulations to our Hanna Benne, who successfully competed with Riggs at the Festival Of Champions in the Young Rider Division. They came in 10th in a very strong field. Susanne rode 6 year old Jadore, by Bojengle, owned by Marijo Mclachlan in second level, winning both classes with a 72% and 75% what fantastic horse!! Huge thanks to Marijo for trusting her with her super mare!! Susanne also rode coming 7 year old PRE Stallion Napoleon in his first US show, owned by Mary Gleason and imported from Spain only a few months ago, in his first 3rd level 3 test ever, scoring 63% and 65%! He is a superstar in the making!! Jana rode her own and Linda Scharff's 7 year old Ira in 3rd level test 3, these two found there second gear here in Wellington, coming in 1st and 2and with a 66% and 67% way to go girls!! What a fun weekend.

She is officially the first one who qualified herself fo regional championships. WAY TO GO. Alicia Lee rode her own in PSG scoring 62% and 65% scoring her first qualifying score as well! Jenny Jarnstrom rode her own Penelope in there first PSG scoring a 64% what a super pair! Jana's student ashlyn took her young horse out for the second time only they had to deal with some young horse issues... on to the next show Our working student Eilidh took our little sale horse Fiametta out to test her out at a show. January 29 Wellington
We had a super intense and successful week in Wellington!! It started with Hanna Benne, who got accepted to ride as a demo young rider at the trainers conference! We are beyond proud of her and Riggs!! They are getting ready for the young rider tour. Right after that, Susanne Benne showed Kara in there first small tour CDI! Way to go. As well as riding her own coming 7 year old Liebling in his first 3rd level test, coming in 2nd with a 65%! She also rode Marijo's coming 6 year old Bojengle mare Jadore in 2nd level, winning both classes with 68% and 70%! Jana Reich rode her and Linda's coming 7 year old Ira in 3rd level coming in 3rd both days! Way to go lady's what a week!

And Trainer Assistant Jana Reich riding her and co owner Linda Scharff's, 7 year old Ira in their first 3rd level getting 3rd place with a 64%. Our junior young riders had a fantastic show as well. 15 year old Abbie, trained by Chase rode her own Levi winning both training level classes and both 1st level classes with 71%, 71%, 67% and 63% Great job!!
14 year old Ashlyn Merritt, trained by Jana, rode her own 6 year old Sachio, in there first show together! Coming in 2and place both days with 69% and 66%. Very well done!! And Karen William's riding her own Pixel who came back after a 4 year show break to ride a successful Inter A test scoring a 65%. Go Team!!

Great but extremely hot show this past weekend in ocala! We want to congratulate Kristine Bakke on earning her Bronze Medal riding her own Jackson in 3rd level scoring a 60%. Way to go!! Jana Reich riding Linda Scharff's and her 5 year old Ira in his second show ever. Winning both classes with 62.6% and 65.9%. Terri Rines riding her own Ruso in 1st level scoring 64%. Marissa Long riding Zoe owned by Ute Long in 4th level, scoring 61% & 64%. And Karen William's riding her own Prom Date HU in 3rd and 4th level scoring 62% and 66%. Way to go everybody Go Team Half Halt.
May 26/27 Ocala
Very eventful and stressful but also successful show weekend for the Half Half girls in Ocala!
Susanne Benne showing Dulcia, owned by Joan Sussmann, in PSG. Winning both days with a 63% and 70% becoming Reserved Champion!
Terri Rines Showing her own Ruso, in 1st level, scoring a 61% and they rocked a 70%. Which qualified them for Regionals, Way to go! Hanna Benne showed Peanut Owned by Linda Scharff in PSG. They did fantastic the first day! She only had 2 weeks to get to know the horse, and she pulled off her first ever PSG at 17 years old! They scored a 60% towards the silvermedal, now only one more to go. Due to bad stomach flu problems they had to unfortunately scratch day two. Kristine Bakke rode her own Jackson in 3rd level. Lots of wonderful moments with 8s and 7s in her score sheets, still have to work on some movements for overal improvements but on the right track! Jana Reich had her first outing after her bad accident, last November, with her new 5 year old horse Ira. His First show ever and he was a real sweetheart. Allthough she was fighting strep throat over the weekend she managed to show, thank god for our loving half halt family who helped her out a lot!! Little Ira was a bit scared of the big arenas and the scary judge booth, so there was some young horse tension. They managed to get second and third with a 62% at 1st level 3. Great job everyone!!

Great first outing for Half Halt Stables and Susanne Benne on two new training horses, Weekend Pleasure and Ciekarla V. Ciekarla V earned 68% and 67% in Prix St. George, placing 2nd and 3rd in a very competitive class! Weekend Pleasure felt great in the I 1 placing 3rd with a 67.5%. What a pleasure to work with these horses! Many thanks to Tami Glover who helped through the weekend!

Lots of success and learning experiences at the Wellington Derby this past weekend for Susanne and Hanna Benne. Big thanks to Sharon Poulin for all her coaching. Susanne Benne showed Sale horse, 7 year old Andalusian gelding Victorioso de Ymas owned by Janine Hill in his 4th level debut and Especial a 9 year old Andalusian Stallion also owned by Janine Hill in his 4th level debut. Both boys were an absolute pleasure to ride and work with. In a very competive field in Wellington they kept their cool and were relaxed as they are at home. Susanne also rode 6 year old Hercules owned by Mary Gleason in second level bringing home 2 first places. Hanna Benne showed Rigadoon RF aka Riggs, sponsored by Lori Minteer from Jupiter bringing home also 2 first places in 3rd level! Way to go ladies!!

Great Show weekend behind us this weekend in Ocala at the Grand Oaks. Susanne Benne back in the Grand Prix Ring with Zonnerhall 0 owned by Toni Pastermack. Thank you to Sharon Poulen for helping to improve from 61% to 66% in the Grand Prix for Zonnerhall and Susanne. Proud of our students Kristin L Bakke with Jackson riding first level, Kathy J Elliott riding fourth level with Finny 60% and Mary Gleason with Revelation winning I2 with 69% way to go girls! And 6 year old Herby owned also by Mary Gleason won with Susanne Benne his first second level test 3 with 73%. What a super star !!

October 6/7/8 REGIONAL CHAMPIONCHIPS 2017
We had lots of Success at the 2017 Regional Championship we are very happy with all horses. Susanne Benne got reserved Champion with Dulcia with 71% owned by Joan Sussman! Susanne Benne and Hercules came in 6th in his first level class owned by Mary Gleason with a 68% in a very strong field. Jana Reich had a very nice clean ride in a super strong field with Peanut in PSG class scoring a 63.4%.

Great and Hot Show at the Grand Oaks in Ocala this weekend! Our client Mary Gleason had lots of improvements in her I2 on her horse Rudy! Susanne Benne rode Mary's young Bojengle gelding Hercules, he was fantastic with 72% and 74% for first place and 1st level reserved champion. Trainer Assistant Jana Reich rode Peanut owned by Linda Scharff in their first I1! Scoring a 63% and 64%. Half way done with her gold medal! Jana' s student Acacia rode Al Marah Chance Command they made huge improvements and got 66% in both her first level classes for first place!!

Great show this past weekend in Jacksonville for the Half Half ladies! Head trainer Susanne Benne rode Fleure Royal (Flora) owned by Linda Egeland in her PSG debut! With a 67% and 65% for 1st and 4th place! She also rode Dulcia in Third level owned by Joan Sussman they became 3rd Level Champion of the show with 72% 69% 68% and 67%! Trainer Assistant Jana Reich rode Fürst Asteaus (Peanut) owned by Linda Scharff in PSG and did great with 64% and 65%! Our client Mary Gleason had a difficult first day but pulled back the second day scoring a 61% in her I2! Jana' s student Acacia did great with her little Arab Stallion Chance! They earned all their scores in first level for the bronze medal and earned one qualifying score in second level for regionals. It was also her second level debut! Way to go to everybody on a great show!

We had a great show in Orlando this weekend! Student Mary Gleason did her very first I2, on her own Rudy! Overall 2 great rides! Student Terri Rines and Susanne Benne showed Terri's young 5 year old Andalusian Ruso, at his first show. He was the sweetest boy and very well behaved! Jana Reich showed Peanut owned by Linda Scharff PSG scoring 61% 5th pl. and 65% 3rd place, very well ridding, this pair is getting better and better every show! Jana' s student, 14 year old Acacia showed her new horse Chance for the first time they did very well! Achiving their first score of 60.1% in 1st level, for her Bronze Medal.

Super show for our sale horse GForce and Susanne Benne, owned by Kathy J Elliott , at the Wellington Derby! This was his US Debut and also his third level debut! He won both tests with a 69% and 71% What a great horse!! Little tough show for my Jana Reich and Peanut owned by Linda Scharff. Lots of improvements in their PSG but a couple bobbles and tension. A very beautiful talented pair, on to the next show!

Great show in Gainsville for Hanna Benne riding Riggs owned and sponsored by Dr Lori Minteer and Cheryl Flink her own Roslyn VT. Hanna at her second 3rd level outing with Riggs scored 65%, 67% and 64% two second and a First place! On Cheryls first day she had a hard time memorizing her test but the Second day she scored a 63%, it was a great ride and her first outing with Roselyn after not showing for 20 years. WAY TO GO GIRLS

Half Halt Stables had a great show this weekend in Orlando. Susanne Benne rode Roslyn VT owned by Sheryl Flink in her second show doing PSG and got both days a 64% placing 3rd! Jana Reich rode Fürst Astreaus aka Peanut owned by Linda Schaff in his second show PSG also with 64% placing 1st and 4th. Mother and daughter were very close this weekend 😄!
And Ineka Pastermack, Toni Pastermack's grand daughter rode our little romeo in training level and her first time showing 1st level, placing 3rd, 4th and 5th Way to go!!

Very rainy and muddy show this past weekend in orlando. But the Half Halt girls still pulled it together! Susanne Benne was awarded with the Klaus Fraessdorf Continuing Potential Award!! She was very surprised and honored by that. Thank you Gaile from Orlando Dressage !! Kristin L Bakke got reserve champion in second level through the show series!! Congrats! Our rider Assistant Katie Honeywell finished all her scores to become a 1 star rider! Way to go! Susanne rode the coming 6 year old PD / Promdate HU owned by Karen B Williams in his 3rd level debut scoring 69% wow! And scoring 71% in 2nd level! Trainer Assistant Jana Reich showed 8 year old Peanut owned by Linda Scharff in his 3rd level debut scoring a 64%. She also showed the 8 year old mare samara she got sponsored with owned and bred by Dr. Lori Minteer from Reflections Farmin jupiter, in their first show together in second level!
